NICHOLAS PAUL crossed yet another precious milestone in his young career on Friday evening when he obliterated his competition twice in one day to seal gold in the men’s kilometre time trial at the UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup, in the Alcides Nieto Patiño Velodrome in Cali, Colombia.

The International Cycling Union (UCI) Track Cycling World Championships this October will be held in Roubaix in northern France, after being moved from Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, back in June.

TEAM TTO ace cyclist Nicholas Paul powered his way to gold in the men’s one-kilometre time-trial event at the UCI Nations Cup in Cali, Colombia last evening.

TENIEL Campbell wasted little time regaining her form after her Olympic Games debut weeks ago did not unfold as planned. Campbell, competing in her first race since the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, grabbed a silver medal in the women’s road race at the Pan American Road Cycling Championships in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on Saturday.

Trinidad and Tobago Olympian Nicholas Paul will be competing at the UCI Nations Cup, from September 9-12. Paul is among four TT cyclists who left for Cali, Colombia on Monday.

There were moments of history-making, coupled with gold and silver medal performances on the opening two days of the Elite Pan American Track Cycling Championships in Lima, Peru on Friday and Saturday.
