USA-based Dylan Carter and Joshua Romany were both in record breaking form as T&T swimmers continued to enjoy stellar performances at the 30th Central American and Caribbean Swimming Confederation (CCCAN) Championship continued at the National Aquatic Centre, in Balmain, Couva on Friday night.

T&T’s World Youth Olympic silver and bronze medal swimmer Dylan Carter has joined Olympic bronze medallist George Bovell (50m freestyle) on the national swimming team for the Rio Olympic Games.

Gabriella Donahue was a double winner as T&T bagged five gold medals in a first night haul of ten, to lie second on the points table when the first night of finals were completed at the 2017 Carifta Swimming Championships at the Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatic Centre in Nassau Bahamas on Saturday.

Michael Phelps is set to become the first American male swimmer to compete at five Olympic Games after triumphing in the men’s 200 metres butterfly at the United States Olympic Trials in Omaha.

The T&T senior women won gold at the Central American and Caribbean Amateur Swimming Confederation (CCCAN) Championship with a 9-5 defeat of Guatemala for a 3-0 record in the two-team event at the Guatemala National Swimming Pool, Guatemala City, on Friday.
