NOW THAT the plight of the family of former president of the then Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) — now TT Football Association (TTFA) — Oliver Camps has been brought to the attention of the public and to the powers that be, the matter must be looked into comprehensively and urgently with a view to some sort of resolution.

Yesterday has gone and hopefully, the memories of both success and failure have been just reminders of the emotions which remain in the mind. The road ahead must now be filled with aspirations for the future which must aim at a better year on and off the sporting fields.

Oliver Camps, former president of the then-Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF), is in immediate danger of losing his home as well as other assets to satisfy an approximate TT$3.8million debt owed to ex-Soca Warriors coach Wilhelmus Rijsbergen.

National midfielder Keron Cummings, 27, was shot and wounded yesterday by a masked gunman, moments after he returned to his home from a boat cruise lime.

Selby Browne, vice-president of the Veteran Footballers Foundation of T&T (VFFOTT) confirmed sadness on receiving news of the passing of the organisation’s president Gwenwyn Cust, who was 74 years-old.
