The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) will host its first ever Advancing Women in Leadership Forum on Saturday 23rd September 2017 from 9am at the National Racquet Centre, Tacarigua.

Trinidad and Tobago has been competing in Olympic Sporting Competitions since the 1930’s, but to date a Team TTO sportswoman has never mounted the podium. During the same period, no female athlete has ever won a commonwealth Gold medal.

BRIAN LEWIS, president of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC), noted that the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba “can be developed as the cornerstone of a strong and vibrant Trinidad and Tobago sports industry.”

I continue to lobby and advocate hard and relentlessly for respect and recognition for a sport industry in T&T. There are a number of engines that will power the economic growth of the local sport industry.

Its important for sport in any country for the respective leaders in the various sectors to have a sincere appreciation of the essential importance of sport and physical activity.
